Full Job Description

  • act as first point of contact for visitors to the department, providing a welcoming environment, meeting and greeting all visitors and handling their enquiries professionally and helpfully
  • provide an excellent customer care service, including dealing with visitors, telephone and written enquiries for details of meetings, promotions, examinations, activities, training and development sessions and taking action as appropriate
  • liaise with key external organisations to ensure the smooth running of study days and other important events
  • assist with signing-in and refreshments at events, ensuring any catering requests are distributed accordingly
  • ensure any messages are passed to the appropriate person promptly
  • SUPPORT TECHNICIAN Provide assistance to support an audio-visual service to meet the needs of the users, ensuring appropriate use of equipment at all times:
  • reporting of problems and undertaking basic maintenance such as replacing microphones, batteries etc
  • work with internal and external customers to determine their needs for audio visual support during their event
  • support with the set-up of audio-visual equipment for training sessions and meetings
  • configure equipment to ensure that the equipment meets the demands of the job

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Receptionist to join our team in Medical Education Unit at Broomfield Hospital. You will have a confident manner in both face to face and telephonic communication with good IT skills. You will enjoy providing excellent customer care and have a passionate approach to your work. Please note this is apart time role for one day per week (fixed as Monday).

    Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital provider in the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (ICS), which is a system of health and care partners working together for our local population.
