Receptionist- Homeless Health Service

At BrisDoc's Homeless Health Service, we are devoted to transforming the health and well-being of those experiencing homelessness. You will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or clinician in a courteous, efficient and effective way. You will project a positive, welcoming and non-judgemental image to patients, other visitors and members of the Practice team. You will work to agreed targets and timescales, and in accordance with Practice policies, protocols, guidelines and procedures. You will deal with patients confidentially, respectfully and holistically. You will help signpost patients to the most suitable clinician / service to best support their needs. Duties will include speaking to patients, carers and support workers face to face and on the telephone, booking appointments and dealing with queries and enquiries.   We're looking for people who share our passion for the NHS and delivering "patient care by people who care". o Good general education, including GCSE grade 4 or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathso Good computer literacyo Ability to listen and respond appropriately to patients and staff with differing needso Ability to convey information accurately both verbally and in writingo Ability to work within a team and take instructions as requiredo Experience of working in a front-line or general practice roleo Initiative and problem-solving skillso Maintaining confidentiality at all timeso Accurate record-keeping with attention to detailo Motivation to contribute to BrisDoc's core values
