Full Job Description
Job Purpose: As outlined in the Job Description and Person Specification, the School Receptionist acts as the first point of contact for all visitors to the school, including parents, staff, and pupils. As the 'face' of the school, the post-holder is required to provide a welcoming, courteous, and professional reception service at all times, ensuring that the school is represented in a consistently positive and professional manner. The role requires an organised and efficient individual with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and work flexibly in response to the needs of the school. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage a wide range of enquiries and interactions effectively, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, discretion, and composure in all circumstances. This includes the ability to remain resilient and appropriately assertive when managing challenging, sensitive, or demanding situations. In addition, the post-holder will be responsible for supporting a range of administrative duties and therefore must possess strong IT skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate and organised records.
