Full Job Description
Are you a friendly, organised, and compassionate individual who enjoys helping others? We're looking for a Mental Health Receptionist to join our dedicated Business Administration Support Team and play a vital role in supporting our mental health services across Portsmouth., Greet all patients, staff and visitors at the front desk, maintaining the reception area and consulting/meeting rooms.
Answering sensitive calls from service users and other agencies, ensuring queries are forwarded promptly.
Dealing with emails relating to the services via shared mailboxes.
To work as part of skill mix team to provide a comprehensive administrative support to the service.
To effectively always prioritise and manage own workload whilst maintaining confidentiality and diplomacy both independently and as part of a team.
To carry out other duties as necessary to meet the changing needs of the service, in accordance with management of requirements and appropriate to banding.
All duties will be carried out within the Trusts Information Governance, recording, and data sharing procedures and guidance.
Based across our sites at St Mary's Community Health Campus and St James' Hospital, you'll be the first point of contact for service users, carers, visitors, and colleagues, helping to create a positive and professional experience for everyone who accesses our services.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Mental Health Services within Portsmouth and Southeast Hampshire division cover a variety of different services including inpatient facilities for both adults and older persons, community services including rehab, crisis and health and wellbeing, and learning disabilities.
Based across St Marys Community Health Campus and/or St James Hospital., Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides joined-up mental and physical healthcare for around two million people across our communities. Our mental health services include community-based support and early intervention in psychosis (EIP) for both adults and young people, alongside a network of specialist inpatient wards covering forensic, learning disability, eating disorder and older person's care.
We deliver extensive physical health services too, from urgent community response teams helping frail and older patients remain safely at home, to hospitals at home teams providing acute-level care in familiar surroundings. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.
