The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post, A flexible approach to this post is essential, as well as superb communications and ample computer skills. The post holder may at times be required to work within different departments/sites to meet the demands of the service., Welsh Speaking Essential
- Welsh Speaking Qualifications Essential
- GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English language or equivalent level of experience
- IT or word processing qualification (e.g. RSA 2 or equivalent experience) Desirable
- ECDL
- NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in customer service Experience Essential
- Experience of using a computer system (e.g. GP clinical IT system)
- Previous experience of working in a reception/office environment
- Experience of working with the general public Skills Essential
- Ability to input information onto a computer system with accuracy
- Ability to work in a busy environment, and deal with a number of different tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate tactfully with patients
- Ability to resolve issues 'on the spot' using own judgement
- Ability to multitask in a busy office environment Knowledge Essential
- An understanding of confidentiality involved with post
- Knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices, Well motivated
- Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team member without direct supervision
