Full Job Description
This is a part-time post for 15 hours per week (with the opportunity for hours to increase with the services expansion).
Are you an organised, friendly, and customer-focused individual looking to make a difference in a busy healthcare environment?
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to provide essential administrative and reception support, helping to deliver high-quality patient care.
As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will provide a professional welcome, manage appointments, answer telephone enquiries, and maintain accurate patient records using electronic patient record (EPR) systems.
Working closely with nursing, medical, and administrative teams, you will help ensure the smooth running of outpatient clinics and a positive patient experience., The role also includes a range of administrative duties such as preparing clinic documentation, arranging transport and interpreters where required, monitoring supplies, taking meeting minutes, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the service.
We are looking for someone with previous administrative experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, strong IT literacy, and a professional, compassionate approach.
Experience in an NHS or healthcare setting and knowledge of EPR systems would be an advantage but are not essential.

This post is based at Royal Berkshire Foundation Trust Hospital but the location for the post is at our satellite site at the Rosemary Centre, West Berkshire Community Hospital in Thatcham, RG18 3AS.
