We are looking for a friendly, professional, and approachable Receptionist to join the team at Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat on a temporary, part-time contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about providing a welcoming and enjoyable guest experience. As a Receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests, helping to ensure they receive a warm welcome and a smooth experience throughout their stay. This is a varied role in a busy front-of-house environment, ideal for someone who is organised, personable, and confident managing a range of tasks. The role is part-time and temporary, with working hours arranged around the needs of the business. The reception team plays an important role in creating a positive guest experience, from welcoming guests on arrival through to assisting with enquiries and ensuring a smooth departure. - Welcome guests on arrival and provide a friendly and professional check-in experience
- Handle guest enquiries in person, over the telephone, and via email
- Manage bookings, payments, and reservations using internal systems
- Provide information about the retreat, local area, facilities, and activities
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve queries or issues promptly and professionally
- Liaise with housekeeping and maintenance teams to help ensure accommodation is ready for guests
- Process guest check-outs efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area
- Assist with general administrative tasks and day-to-day reception duties
- Follow company procedures, including data protection, health and safety, and customer service standards
- Support the wider team during busy periods and contribute to the smooth running of the retreat, This is a temporary, part-time position. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs. The position involves working in a busy front-of-house environment, including prolonged periods of standing, using computer systems, and interacting with guests throughout the day.
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or reception role is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- A flexible approach to working hours
