Receptionist

Are you an organised, friendly, and customer-focused individual looking to make a difference in a busy healthcare environment? We are seeking a Receptionist to provide essential reception support, helping to deliver high-quality patient care. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will provide a professional welcome, manage appointments, answer telephone enquiries, and maintain accurate patient records using electronic patient record (EPR) systems. Working closely with nursing, medical, and administrative teams, you will help ensure the smooth running of outpatient clinics and a positive patient experience.,

• Provide a professional and welcoming reception service for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Answer telephone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate team members.
• Book, amend, and cancel patient appointments using electronic patient record (EPR) systems.
• Register and check in patients, ensuring demographic information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and clinic documentation.
• Liaise with clinical teams, medical secretaries, and other departments to support the smooth running of clinics.
• Arrange follow-up appointments where required.
• Respond to patient enquiries and provide information on clinic waiting times and appointments.
• Ensure patient information is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.
• Support a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment by following Trust policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent patient experience while meeting service deadlines., Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further details of the job role.
  
  We are looking for someone with previous administrative experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, strong IT literacy, and a professional, compassionate approach.
