Full Job Description
Bridgewater Surgeries are looking to recruit a reliable, professional and patient-focused GP Receptionist to join our busy and friendly team. This role is for 30 hours per week, worked over 5 days, with a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts. Shifts are 6 hours long, with:
- AM shifts starting at 7:00am
- PM shifts starting at 1:00pm The role will involve working across all 4 practice sites This is a busy and fast-paced position with a significant amount of telephone work. The successful candidate will need to be confident managing a high volume of calls while also dealing with patient enquiries at reception and completing administrative duties.,
- Answering a high volume of patient telephone calls
- Booking and managing appointments
- Greeting and assisting patients at reception
- Processing patient enquiries and administrative tasks
- Working closely with clinical and administrative teams
- Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times, Job summary: Receive, assist and direct patients in person or via phone in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently handled Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone, Reception + Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person. + Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone + Handling repeat prescriptions + Deal with visits requests ensuring they are entered on computer with the patient records Administration + To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures. + To work in accordance of written protocols + Pulling/filing notes as necessary + Photocopying as requested + Dealing with post Other Tasks + Clear and stock rooms after surgeries + Ensure building security and have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm. + Any other tasks allocated by managers
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills

- Understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism
