Full Job Description

The post holder is the initial point of contact at the Senior School and provides a friendly and professional welcome to parents and visitors, dealing efficiently and promptly with all enquiries and providing administrative support.

The main duties of the role are to be 'front of house' to all those who visit or contact the Senior School, providing an excellent first impression for every visitor or enquiry. The role also involves liaising with different departments within the School, and liaising with parents on important matters. It is essential that the successful person has good communication and ICT skills, a positive 'can do' attitude towards providing excellent customer service and working with young people, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. It is vital that you are able to work both under your own initiative and as part of a team, and have excellent attention to detail.

Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Starting Salary for a 40 hour week £20,484.60 per annum, which is £18,278.40 salary plus £2,206.20 holiday pay Fixed Term 1 September 2026 to 11 December 2026 | Full Time or Job Share| Term-Time, This role is a fixed term position 1 September 2026 to 11 December 2026 working up to 40 hours per week during term-time (34 weeks per year). During term-time, the working pattern will be 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Starting salary for this role will be £13.44 per hour plus £1.63 per hour holiday pay. Actual annual salary for 40 hours per week over 34 weeks is £18,278.40 salary plus £2,206.20 holiday pay, which in total is £20,484.60.
