Hours: 37 hours a week, term time plus 1 week of 37 hrs outside of term time.

Northfleet Technology College is looking to appoint a professional, calm and confident Receptionist with a helpful manner who can play a pivotal role within the School Community through the smooth running of reception.


The role requires the successful candidate to be experienced in working in a busy, public facing, reception environment, with the ability and skills to handle sensitive and confidential information, to be discrete, have excellent communication, administrative and organisation skills, to be flexible, adaptable and methodical in their approach to changing priorities, to thrive on multitasking within a fast paced environment, reflect the values and image of the School and be able to adapt to the changing and, sometimes, demanding needs and challenges of school life.


Previous experience of working in an educational establishment is desirable but not essential.


All positions that involve working with children in regulated activity are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All applicants must therefore declare all previous convictions and cautions, including those which would normally be considered 'spent' except those received for an offence committed in the United Kingdom if it has been filtered in accordance with the DBS filtering rules. Candidates applying for a vacancy will be asked to complete a Self-Disclosure form on which they will be asked to disclose any relevant convictions, court orders, reprimands, warnings, or other matters which may affect an applicant's suitability to work with children.
