Full Job Description
Responsible for undertaking a range of clerical and receptionist duties within the Haematology Day Centre and Haematology ward and supporting the day to day activities of the unit as delegated by the nurse manager and the ward sisters. Although based in the Haematology Day Centre you will be expected to take part in the rotation and provide cover where necessary., The post holder is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and receptionist support to outpatient clinics, the Day Unit and Ward, including managing patient appointments, admissions, discharges and records using the PMS system. They act as a key point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, handling enquiries, bookings, transport and interpreter arrangements, while ensuring accurate maintenance, preparation and filing of patient case notes and investigation results. The role also includes general clerical duties to support the clinical team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
