Full Job Description

The reception security officer will be working on duty alone and responsible for providing a first-class reception service, whilst ensuring the health, safety and security of the building, contractors, and on-site staff.

The main duties of the reception security officer is to ensure the building is opened and closed at pre-determined times, and whilst maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

> Creating a positive first impression.
> Ensuring the building is unlocked and locked at the agreed times.
> General reception duties, including excellent record keeping.
> Assisting with weekly fire and lift alarm testing.
> Dealing, in a professional manner with staff, visitors and contractors.
> Regular health and safety checks internally and externally.
> Working in accordance with site specific procedures and compliance with policies and procedures.
> Undertake training and professional development, as necessary in order to be able to fulfil the role.
> To ensure factual and accurate recording of information to handover to the on-site teams and to ensure that all recordings of information are stored securely.
> To ensure that information is gathered and collated for monitoring and outcome purposes.

> Experience delivering customer-facing services
> Security experience (preferred but not essential), > A valid SIA (Door Supervision or Security) licence.
> The applicant should hold a valid First Aid certificate especially for field-based or operational roles with a minimum of 6 months remaining until expiry.
> Hold a valid Driving License and would ideally have access to a vehicle, due to shift times. (preferred but not essential), > Flexible and reliable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record, smart appearance and professional demeanour.
> An enthusiastic team player with a positive, solution focused approach and must enjoy working with people.
> Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team whilst maintaining a friendly approach
> Takes pride in having and providing high standards / excellence with an organised approach, prioritising attention to detail, exceptional accuracy awareness and works with honesty and integrity at all times.
> Excellent customer service with clear communication skills, verbal, written and listening with people whose first language may not be English.
> Be able to maintain professionalism and the ability to follow policy and procedures at all times and when dealing with situations that may be stressful, demanding, and challenging.
> Confident with conflict management and have the ability to demonstrate sound judgement, at times when dealing with highly sensitive matters
> Ability to prioritise ever-changing / challenging workload and focussed on KPIs and SLAs
> Basic computer skills with the ability to adapt to an everchanging digital environment., Disability Confident
