Reception Learning Support Worker

You will be working closely with the class teacher to support pupils aged 4-5, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment. The role will involve both general classroom support and working 1:1 or in small groups with children who may need additional guidance.,

• Supporting children with early learning skills including phonics, reading, and basic numeracy
• Assisting with classroom activities through play-based learning
• Providing 1:1 support where required, including children with additional learning needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
• Supporting the teacher with classroom preparation and daily routines
• Ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

• Strong understanding of Early Years/Foundation Phase learning
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children's development
Desirable (but not essential)
• Experience working with SEN/ALN
• Relevant qualifications in childcare or education
• Knowledge of phonics programmes and early learning strategies
  
  Consistent Monday-Friday hours
• Term-time only role with approximately 12 weeks off per year
