Overview
Backed by decades of experience and an unrivalled understanding of the national and international landscape, our real estate team has a lot to offer our clients. The team provides invaluable advice regarding the complex and interlocking regulations that control the real estate industry. We already have a strong transatlantic presence, which has recently deepened through our combination with US firm Lewis Roca, opening up even more opportunities for our real estate teams.
We're expanding and looking for a new Partner to complement our already successful and well-known Leeds real estate practice. If your expertise lies in advising developers, investment, asset management, strategic land, disposals, acquisitions, landlord and tenant, energy, or real estate finance, we'd be very interested in hearing from you. Our recently refurbished Leeds office offers state-of-the-art facilities and panoramic views of Leeds.
What are the requirements?
Within this sector, we are seeing significant growth and have an impressive list of major clients and panel appointments. You'll be joining a national high-profile team with exposure to high-value work. We are seeking a partner with a credible track record in this sector, capable of delivering growth and increasing our national profile. You will also be expected to support and drive the wider strategic vision of growth for Womble Bond Dickinson. Additionally, you will play a key role in the development of our people, coaching, mentoring, and assisting in their career development.
To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum:
- To be a qualified solicitor with 8+ years of post-admission experience.
- A high level of knowledge of the UK real estate sector and experience building and sustaining a practice in this sector.
- The ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of revenue prioritisation.
- Team management experience with evidence of effective coaching.
- The ability to actively seek out opportunities for innovation and create process improvements.
- A role model with a commercial mind-set who can demonstrate efficiency.
- An external profile as a leader in this field.
- Understanding of how legal services should be delivered at a top 100 UK law firm.
What's in it for you?
We have a strong, collaborative culture where success is rewarded and our people are supported and encouraged to achieve their potential. You'll benefit from a talented group of business professionals enthusiastic and committed to our success, ready to support your practice development through sector or business development advice, learning and development opportunities, and innovative technology solutions.
We also offer leadership and business skills masterclasses designed for partners through our Learning and Development team. Our culture emphasizes a human approach, supported by initiatives that promote health, wellbeing, and flexible working, in line with the Mindful Business Charter.
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Through our DEI initiatives, we create an environment where difference is valued. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Group works with various colleague networks supporting race, ethnicity, cultural heritage, LGBTQ+, disabilities, families, and women's career development. We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to inclusive and accessible recruitment processes. If needed, we will make adjustments for candidates with disabilities or long-term conditions. We seek to fill roles directly but welcome engagement from agencies.
Why Work Here?
We continually strive to create an open culture that feels human and supportive. We value healthy work-life balance, wellbeing, and diversity, and promote flexible working arrangements. Join us to be part of a vibrant, inclusive environment that fosters professional growth and collaboration.
