Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Reablement Supervisor to join our STAR (Short Term Assessment & Reablement) Service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, support and develop a team of frontline staff delivering high-quality reablement support across Sandwell. As a Reablement Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring people receive safe, effective and person-centred support that promotes independence, maximises wellbeing and helps individuals remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Working closely with Team Managers, Deputy Managers, Assessors and partner agencies, you will provide day-to-day leadership, quality oversight and professional support to frontline staff whilst helping drive continuous improvement across the service. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to further develop their leadership skills within Adult Social Care. What You'll Do: Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, motivate and support a team of frontline staff delivering reablement services across the borough.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of care, professional practice and service delivery.
  • Undertake supervision, observations, spot checks and performance conversations.
  • Support induction, probation and ongoing development of employees.
  • Manage day-to-day staffing issues, rota pressures and service demands.
  • Promote a culture of quality, learning, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support safeguarding, incident management and quality assurance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals, social care teams and partner agencies.
  • Help people achieve positive outcomes and maximise their independence.

  • You will demonstrate:
  • A commitment to promoting independence and person-centred practice.
  • Experience of leading, supporting or supervising staff.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to motivate others and manage performance positively.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality standards.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible and solution-focused approach to service delivery., Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience of supervising professional and/or non-professional staff.
  • A willingness to work flexibly across a 7-day service.
