The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit are seeking to appoint Financial Investigators. We are inviting applications from accredited and experienced Financial Investigators, though applications are also welcome from candidates who are not yet accredited but possess the necessary attitude and skillset to complete the required training.

You will also develop and assist with investigations into money laundering offences.

You will work closely with partner agencies and attend Court to give evidence. You will interview suspects and witnesses, conduct search warrants and identify opportunities to disrupt criminality by investigating financial lines of enquiry and confiscating criminals' ill-gotten gains.

Based at Wakefield, with allowances for agile working available, successful candidates will be expected to attend for duty anywhere within the Yorkshire and Humber region and be able to travel nationally or internationally when required.

This is a career progression role. At appointment you will receive training, attend courses and be allocated a mentor. Applicants who are already accredited Financial Investigators may be appointed at the top of the pay scales advertised, or somewhere in-between, based upon experience and qualifications., This exciting role makes a key difference in disrupting serious and organised crime, tackling illicit finance and ensuring that crime does not pay.

West Yorkshire Police is committed to improving the diversity of its workforce to better reflect the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all minority groups and individuals who identify with one or more of the protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

Applicants should be aware that it is not always possible to carry out adequate vetting checks on persons who have not been resident within the UK for the last five years. Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused because it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
