Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent post for a highly motivated person to join the Radiotherapy Support Workers Team. The post holder will be based in Liverpool. However, the successful candidates will be required when needed to cross cover sites to meet the needs of the service.

  • To assist all members of the MDT in all sections of the department to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective service.
  • To perform clinical and clerical duties; provide hands on care, assistance and emotional support to patients and their carers.
  • To prepare and run assigned weekly treatment review clinics and phlebotomy., The role of a Radiotherapy Support Worker is to primarily support the patients and the radiographers within the radiotherapy department. It is a diverse role, with clinical and clerical aspects to the role. A few examples of what you will be expected to do include; chaperoning patients, participating in the phlebotomy service taking bloods, recording patients observations using the National Early Warnings Scoring system and assisting in our brachytherapy and Papillon suite.
