Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Radiotherapy Department for 2 new team members to join us. We are offering 1 full time secondment (37.5hrs per week) and one part time secondment (15hrs per week). These roles will provide the successful candidates with an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in cancer care and radiotherapy, while contributing to the running of a busy and dynamic department., Extract, analyse and present detailed and complex information in response to both routine and ad hoc user requirements from a range of data sources including corporate systems, departmental systems and external data sources:

To support performance monitoring;

To monitor and improve data quality;

To meet ad-hoc requests.

Carry out all analysis and reporting tasks efficiently, choosing appropriate software tools, and making full use of the technical reporting infrastructure, including SQL Server, MS Office software, Crystal Reports and other specialist reporting tools.

Contribute to reporting activities that include:

Meeting agreed timescales for producing and distributing formal external monitoring returns and electronic data sets, and associated internal monitoring reports;

Ensuing checks for accuracy and consistency are applied to all reports, and gaining senior management sign-off before submission of external monitoring reports;

Liaising with operational managers to ensure that report figures agreed and owned by services and teams;

Identifying, investigating and advising on the resolution of data quality problems;

Design and use appropriate validation mechanisms to ensure that all reports produced meet the users requirements and are accurate, reliable and clearly presented. Investigate results in detail if figures appear inaccurate, go against the trend, or are queried by report users.
