Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Radiology Secretary to join our Radiology Administration team at Weston, this is a part-time position (30 hours) working Tuesday-Friday.
The post holder will provide secretarial and administration support to Consultant Radiologists and Radiology Management Team, managing own workload and acting independently, with the aim of maintaining an efficient standard of service with a high level of confidentiality, in accordance with the requirements of the service.
The administration team is based at the Weston General Hospital site.
Plan Radiologists rotas
To show a caring and professional approach towards patients, relatives and carers when dealing with telephone conversations.
Collates Radiologists time sheets and additional hour forms and ensures accurate records are kept.
Participate in audit and improvement in the quality work of the team.
Training of new staff within the team and falling in line with departmental protocols.
As a senior member of the team, assist and answer queries from the band 2 clerical officers.
Takes formal minutes for departmental meetings, including organising agendas, shares agreed actions.
Responsible for maintaining patient records pertaining to imaging examinations
Ensure both imaging identification and patient documentation is accurate and that computer progression is timely.
Identify training needs of self and contribute to departmental education programme.
Deal with enquiries from patients where a resolution cannot be negotiated transfers to line manager.
Works independently prioritising own workload.
