Radiology Care Support Worker

Assisting & running of modalities e.g. Ultrasound & CT.

• Laying sterile trollies for drains & biopsies
• Observing patients during non-invasive & invasive procedures
• Assisting Radiologists with diagnostic procedures.
Supporting Nursing staff in Ultrasound and CT with interventional procedures, Working for the OUH allows us to develop essential values to deliver the known 6 C's which we pride ourselves with to all service users

  We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated applicant with good communication skills who will provide a high standard of patient-centred care. Radiology experience is not essential, as you will be fully supported with a very high standard competency training package, allowing great professional development.
The role includes working in a variety of modalities in radiology. All modalities deal with the diagnosis and treatment involved in giving the patient the best possible experience, with their journey through the department. Working alongside Nurses, Radiographers, Radiologists, and administration personnel will help in your development to becoming a Competent, Committed, and Courageous team member, who will show a Compassionate and Caring attitude when Communicating with all service users.,
• Literate, articulate and numerate Secondary school education, Experience in the NHS, Understanding of the roles of nursing, radiography, ancillary and other staff
Desirable criteria
• Computer literate
• Experience in the NHS
