Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic full time team member who can deal with varied clinical and administrative work. You will be dealing with both clinical and non-clinical staff as well as patients from various referral sources, and their carers/relatives. We aim to deliver a high standard of patient care at all times.To work as a Radiology Department Assistant you will need some experience of working in an health care environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, dynamic, and meticulous in their work taking pride in what they do. There is an expectation to work flexibly as core opening hours extend 8am-8pm.It is essential that the successful candidate has good organisation and communications skills as well as competent IT skills. We work with two systems in Imaging, our Radiology system Sectra and the main electronic patient record system Medway., The post holder will work within a multi-disciplinary team consisting of radiographers, sonographers, phlebotomists and ophthalmic technicians, clerical and medical staff.

The post holder will be expected to undertake care, clerical and administrative duties as part of a team, ensuring the maintenance of basic and essential services is met.

Training will be given to ensure that full functions can be carried out effectively and safely. The post holder will be assessed and certified competent.

The post holder will communicate effectively with other departments and disciplines across the Trust.

It is important that the post holder portrays a welcoming, professional and caring image.

The post holder is expected to have a flexible and "can do approach" in ensuring the work of the department is carried out to the required high standards.
