Full Job Description
Our Radiology department seeks an enthusiastic Radiographer looking to develop their career in a supportive environment. We offer a 6-month preceptorship scheme for new starters with support from a dedicated mentor and line manager. We have a well-established reputation as a warm, welcoming department with a strong team ethic. We have a robust CPD schedule including special interest groups, and modality specific meetings. All staff are given the opportunity to spend up to one week per year in a modality of their choice. Our Radiology department at Tameside Hospital has a wide range of opportunities for career progression and has a true 4 tier structure.We have Advanced/Specialist Practice in all modalities.Our current working pattern is 7am-12am Monday to Friday on a 16-week rolling rota with on-call at the weekends., o To carry out all radiographic duties in all sections, working as a member of the team of the Department of Radiology.o To supervise junior members of staff and studentso To manage patient priority as appropriate and respond to Trust targetso To be proficient in all aspects of radiographyo To contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Radiology Service.o The hours of work will be in accordance with service needs over a 24/7 period.o There is commitment to on-call with this post, and within the very near future, participation in a shift system.
