Quantity Surveyor

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of groundworks and infrastructure projects, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery. Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and Operational teams, you will play a key role in managing projects from procurement through to final account. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of groundworks and infrastructure projects
• Maximise contract profitability and support the achievement of commercial objectives
• Prepare and negotiate interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Produce accurate monthly CVRs, forecasts, and cash flow reports
• Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to improve margins
• Manage subcontract procurement and subcontractor accounts
• Provide commercial support to operational teams throughout project delivery
• Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Ensure accurate commercial records and reporting are maintained
  
  Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, infrastructure, or civil engineering
• Strong understanding of residential infrastructure packages including roads, drainage, foundations, and external works
• Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding
• Experience managing projects and subcontractor accounts
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts, and financial reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction Management (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
