Full Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong residential groundworks experience to join a growing and forward-thinking contractor. The successful candidate will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.,
- Lead the commercial management of multiple residential groundworks projects
- Maximise contract profitability and monitor financial performance
- Prepare and agree quotations for variations and additional works
- Produce and review accurate monthly cost and value reports (CVRs)
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow across multiple sites
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts
- Work closely with operational teams and clients to resolve commercial matters
- Identify and implement value engineering opportunities
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required
- Maintain accurate commercial reporting and contractual documentation
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks - Strong understanding of infrastructure, roads, drainage, and foundations packages
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in value engineering and cost control
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills

Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. - Salary up to £85,000 per annum depending on experience
