Full Job Description

  • Lead the commercial and contractual management of large-scale construction and civil engineering workstreams within Project Invictus.
  • Prepare, monitor, and report on project budgets, forecasts, and cost plans to ensure value for money.
  • Oversee subcontract procurement and management from tender through to final account.
  • Assess and negotiate variations, compensation events, and change orders under NEC and FIDIC contracts.
  • Support claims preparation, project close-out, and commercial risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with project engineers, planners, and delivery teams to maintain alignment between commercial and technical objectives.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a strong, high-performing commercial culture.

    A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered status (RICS/CIOB) or working towards this is preferred.
  • Mechanical, Piping and Electrical Instrumentation experience essential
  • Proven experience in managing the commercial aspects of major civils or heavy engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/4, FIDIC, or JCT contracts.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive mindset and a drive to deliver outcomes that balance value, compliance, and innovation.
