Quality Project Specialist

This is an opportunity to play a key role in improving quality across NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). You will support national quality initiatives, provide expert advice to projects, and ensure services meet regulatory and licensing standards. Working across a complex, multi-site organisation, you will help shape consistent, high-quality systems that protect donors and patients. You will use your expertise to influence change, lead quality improvement activity, and support the delivery of a strong national quality strategy. The role is currently aligned to the Plasma Quality Assurance Team and will primarily support Plasma for Medicines activities initially, whilst retaining flexibility to support wider Quality Directorate priorities where required. This role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful work, develop specialist expertise, and make a direct impact on patient outcomes., In this role you will provide quality leadership and specialist support for national quality initiatives, projects and service developments, working closely with the National Quality Assurance Manager (NQAM) across directorate and national activities. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing quality consultancy and support to complex projects and transformation programmes ensuring that outcomes comply with Licensing and Regulatory requirements.
• Leading or contributing to national quality projects, driving improvement and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Interpreting complex regulatory and quality requirements and supporting teams to design safe, compliant systems of work.
• Monitoring and reviewing significant quality incidents, identifying trends, sharing learning, and embedding improvements.
• Influencing and work with senior stakeholders to embed best practice and improve ways of working.
• Supporting the development of national quality strategy and ensuring consistent application across directorates.
• Planning and delivering audits, supporting inspections and assurance activity to maintain high standards of patient and donor care.
• Developing and deliver training to build capability in quality systems and processes across the organisation.
