Full Job Description
A key aspect of the role will be the ability to support driving a team to correctly identify the root cause of an issue and then installing robust countermeasures to avoid re-occurrence. You will need to understand the problem-solving tools and apply them across a range of technical issues simultaneously. You will also be responsible for leading a team completing continuous improvement activities within our production facilities, with focus on Warranty Measures, Vehicle Plant Pulls & Rectifications and Machining PIST/PIPC (Machining capability). This role will report to the Senior Quality Engineers within the Quality Engineering Department, and will cover both Internal Combustion and Electrification projects.
- Be the primary interface for the Quality Engineering team in the resolution of issues derived from Warranty analysis, Vehicle Plant customer concerns and internal quality issues.
- Develop a quality management process that delivers scorecard targets for warranty and customer concerns by working with other departments to ensure current processes are adhered to and then develop these wherever necessary.
- Identify and address internal procedures that affect scorecard targets.
- Lead the development of the warranty tear down area to delivery efficiency improvements, (number of weekly teardowns) and the feedback of information into the central quality function to deliver IQM projects that resolves issues seen.
- Be the driver of accurate problem solving within the plant, drive the teams to follow the standard problem-solving techniques and be able to challenge the teams openly, with integrity, to drive continuous improvement.

- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively - Verbal and written. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
