Quality Inspector

Job DescriptionGOT AN EYE FOR DETAIL? MAKE QUALITY COUNT.Steatite, part of the Solid State Group, is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Tewkesbury.You will play an important hands on role in ensuring our products meet the required standards throughout manufacture and before they reach our customers. Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will inspect components and assemblies, identify quality issues and help us continually improve how we work.What you will be doing Carrying out visual and final inspections of manufactured products Inspecting components and assemblies against drawings and specifications Conducting quality spot checks throughout production Using measuring, test and inspection equipment Identifying and recording defects and non-conformances Maintaining accurate inspection and quality records Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions Providing feedback to improve quality and manufacturing processesWhat

we are looking forYou will need previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar hands-on quality role within manufacturing, together with: Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications Experience using measuring and inspection equipment Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach Experience identifying and reporting non-conformances Good problem-solving and communication skillsExperience within electronics manufacturing, calibration, internal auditing or IPC Class 3 standards would be particularly useful.Our cultureYou will join a supportive, collaborative and quality-focused team where people work together, share ideas and take pride in getting things right.
