Full Job Description
As Steatite continues to grow, we're looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who is passionate about quality and takes pride in ensuring our products meet the highest standards before they reach our customers. Working closely with our Production and Engineering teams, you will play a key role in maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and company standards before dispatch.,
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections throughout the manufacturing process and on completed products.
- Ensure products meet customer, regulatory and company quality standards before dispatch.
- Identify, record and report non-conformances, maintaining accurate quality records and supporting corrective actions.
- Use inspection and measuring equipment to verify product conformity.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions to ensure products are manufactured to the required standard.
- Work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support wider quality activities across the business as required.
We are looking for someone who has: - Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar quality role within an electronics manufacturing, assembly or calibration environment.
- Experience carrying out product inspections and identifying non-conformances.
- A basic understanding of electronics and the use of inspection and measuring equipment.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of IPC Class 3 standards for soldering and crimping.
