Full Job Description
We are looking for talented and diverse Directors who have experience of working seamlessly with the client to implement a testing solution that meets their quality assurance needs. We work with leading clients and vendors across different landscapes. You will have the opportunity to drive the test strategy and implementation on technology implementations for top tier clients. Working with a range of clients will provide you with the opportunity to continue developing your senior relationships with industry leaders, and grow your leadership skills. You will also play an important role in leading our quality engineering offering within the Banking & Capital Markets industry, building relationships internally with industry partners and guiding our industry-aligned practitioners. You'll also take responsibility for practice development activities such as: developing new service offerings to take to market and leading on thought leadership; contributing to the management of our business. Responsibilities will include:
- Owning quality engineering service delivery for one or more Banking or Capital Markets clients
- Creation of tailored test strategies and approaches for large, complex or specialised client test delivery
- Planning and managing client test delivery, ensuring the testing meets quality, time and cost objectives
- Providing advice on testing tools and techniques and leveraging them effectively within a testing activity
- Reviewing test processes and practices and coaching the team on enhancement opportunities
- Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
- Leading industry-aligned teams internally, providing strategy, direction and support
- Building and maintaining key client stakeholder relationships and leading teams of Deloitte and client personnel
- Taking responsibility for budgets (or portions of budgets), client deliverables and billing
- Leading the creation of discussion decks and client bid proposals, and participating in client orals during the client bid process
- Act as a role mode, helping to develop and mentor junior resources
- Contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership in QE
Significant experience of working within the UK Banking industry (Retail, Commercial or Capital Markets) either directly or in a professional services firm - Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to bridge both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience of working with offshore and/or nearshore teams
- Experience of building and strengthening key client relationships
- Experience of functional system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and non-functional testing including performance and automation
- Test management tool expertise (such as JIRA/ADO/X-Ray)
- Experience of working on RfPs either as a requestor / judge or a responder
- Experience of developing thought leadership materials or go to market propositions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and self-driver
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and often changeable client environment
- Strong commercial awareness of how professional services firms and change/transformation programmes operate Additional desirable experience includes:
- ISTQB Advanced / Manager level or equivalent
- Application of GenAI tooling within the SDLC
- Ability to design and implement test automation frameworks
- ISTQB Certified Agile Tester qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in administering a test management tool (e.g. ALM, Xray for Jira, Zephyr)
