Quality Technician
Location: Pucklechurch BS16
Salary: £30,000–£33,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently looking for a Quality Technician to join a growing refrigeration manufacturing business based in Pucklechurch.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Quality Assurance experience who is looking to develop their career within a manufacturing environment. The role offers excellent long-term progression opportunities, making it particularly well suited to someone who is ambitious and looking to build a career within Quality.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quality inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, from individual parts and sub-assemblies through to completed refrigeration units.
You will be required to read and understand engineering drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use these to check that products and components meet the required specifications.
Full training will be provided on the individual stages of production, so previous refrigeration experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out quality inspections at different stages of manufacture
- Inspecting individual parts, sub-assemblies and finished products
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and SOPs
- Checking products against specified requirements and tolerances
- Identifying and reporting quality issues or defects
- Working closely with production and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
- Supporting the wider Quality team with continuous improvement
- Ensuring quality standards and procedures are followed throughout the manufacturing process
- Communicating effectively with colleagues across the business
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous Quality Assurance / Quality Technician experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of what a Quality function should provide within a manufacturing business
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive, team-focused attitude
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- The ability to learn new processes and technical information quickly
- A proactive and ambitious approach to their career
