Full Job Description

The candidate must possess the ability to solve complex problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative, and be adaptable as they will work on a variety of continuous improvement initiatives in support of the organization. The candidate will work within the current quality team reporting directly to the UK Quality Leader Essential responsibilities

  • Manage the company NCR system, provide management reports and drive the actions with the required stakeholders to resolution, By known quality tools as Kaizen/RCA/8d/5why etc.
  • Carry out product and process audits.
  • Creation of project and manufacturing control plans
  • Ensure that control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained through the lifecycle of the project.
  • Monitor and report quality related KPI's including Scrap/Rework levels/First time yield with dedicated manufacture and chain weekly quality Gemba's.
  • Promotion of zero defect and stop the line culture.
  • Ensure compliance and assist with the QMS (ISO9000:2015).
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to aid development and identification of risk on new projects/processes inclusive of using an FMEA approach.
  • Meet with customers during project meetings and final inspections and can provide and prepare reports and presentations to support these meetings.
  • Be flexible in approach and time management to allow tasks to be completed to support the project timelines.

    Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and measurement tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP), Part approval processes (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge, VSM, Gauge R&R
  • Understand engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical) and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of NATO standards AQAP2105/ 2110 etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as: MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft Power point and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Qualifications and Experience Levels:
  • Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance
