Full Job Description
Provide support to the plant Quality function whilst acquiring fundamental engineering process knowledge and manufacturing quality competencies. We are looking for an eager candidate with a willingess to learn and a keen eye for detail. Someone who has an interest in engineering, manufacturing and technology would be ideal.
"To achieve a Level 2 Engineering operative Diploma , potentially followed by suitable further qualifications up to HNC/HND.
Conduct dimensional inspections of injection moulded and stamped components and report findings in written inspection reports.
Perform mechanical tests on components and assemblies, reporting results accurately.
Provide input into part modification decisions considering product form and functional requirements
Calibrate production gauges and equipment and ensure calibration database is kept up-to-date.
Update controlled documents and standard operating procedures.
Support the sites internal ISO 9001 quality audit program as a trainee quality system auditor.
Support in the administration of customer return processing.
Participate in continuous improvement activities including problem solving and root cause analysis."
GCSE or Equivalent (Maths & English level 4 or above).
Skills:
IT Skills particularly Microsoft Excel. Good command of written and spoken English. Maths is important for the role so we need level 4 or above at GCSE.
Good verbal and written communication, be able to Work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Interest in engineering and technology.
