Full Job Description
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager The responsibilities will include:
- Court Team sits within the Children Looked After, Court, Leaving Care and Family Time (Contact) Service
- Court Team has 1 SSW(Leadership) and 6 SSW posts (+ 2 Covid funded for additional capacity). There are also 2 Family Support Workers and a Court Progression Officer in the Team
- Supported by the Family Time (Contact) Team supporting facilitated and supervised family time between looked after children and their families
- Court Team SSWs & FSWs start involvement at the outset of care proceedings and complete parenting assessments (inc PAMs if trained), Together and Apart assessments, direct work with children and statutory looked after and child protection tasks to safeguard and enable permanence plans to be made at the conclusion of proceedings
- 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
- 3 month Temporary Contract
- Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

Qualified Social Worker, Shropshire Council, Children's Court Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team, Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team, The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
