Full Job Description

Manage a complex caseload involving multi-agency input, high-risk factors and challenging family dynamics.

Complete robust assessments, care planning and reviews using evidence-informed practice.

Lead safeguarding enquiries and coordinate multi-agency responses.

Prepare high-quality reports and represent the Council in court proceedings.

Build strong, collaborative relationships with partner agencies.

Use reflective supervision to maintain resilience and high-quality decision-making.

Mentor and support less experienced staff where required.

Lambeth Council is recruiting Experienced / Senior Social Workers (PO3) with FSCP experience only to deliver high-quality statutory social work across complex child protection, care proceedings and looked-after children cases. You will lead on assessments, planning and interventions using systemic practice to create meaningful, sustainable change for children and families.

The role requires strong professional judgement, confidence working autonomously, and the ability to influence positive outcomes in high-need, multi-agency environments.

Significant post-qualification experience in statutory children's social care.
