Full Job Description
Join our dedicated team at CAFCASS as a Qualified Social Worker in the Children's FCA unit based in Stevenage. We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for those in your care. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
- Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the welfare of children.
- Providing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges.
- Collaborating with external agencies, including schools and health services, to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills: - A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children's social work, preferably within a Family Court Advisory and Support Service (FCA) setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload.
