Mid Essex Talking Therapies are a dynamic and innovative team. We actively encourage people to specialise in projects, alongside their core work. If you are looking for an exciting new job, then we are the people to come to. At present the service uses telephone and video conferencing, as well as online methods of communication, to support patients to access and engage with treatment. There would be an expectation for the post holder to attend the office at least 2 days a week which is essential as we pride ourselves on having a strong, cohesive team, and we would expect the successful postholder to be integrated fully with our other PWPs. PWPs work alongside High intensity therapists to support a variety of step 3 groups. The PWPs also promote the service with stress workshops, mental health training, and attending conferences and GP days. If successful you will also be working with other professionals to offer a service to people with various long term conditions. - A qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
- Registered with the BABCP/BPS (or can provide evidence of application)
- Significant experience of working with people with mental health difficulties in a healthcare setting

- Ability and access to an independent means of transport for business use Where Will I Be Based? You will be based in Braintree, Essex and will be part of an experienced and supportive team. This post is a hybrid-working role and there would be an expectation for the post holder to attend the office at least 2 days a week.,
- Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) Graduate OR Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions
- PWP registration with BABCP or BPS OR must be eligible and willing to apply, Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
- Experience of working in Primary Care Services
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Demonstrates high standards of written communication
- Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health Desirable criteria
- Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems, Advanced communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including telephone skills
- Computer literate, Ability to use clinical supervision and personal development positively and effectively
- Ability to evaluate and put in place the effect of training
- Ability to assess common mental health problems
- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post, Regard for others and, respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality, Car driver with ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
- Computer skills for entering clinical notes on electronic patient record
- Requirement to carry laptop/files between office base and remote working in line with all relevant HPFT policies MENTAL/EMOTIONAL EFFORTEssential criteria
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to concentrate on clinical work and deliver therapy for most of the working day
- Ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own personal and professional development and in supervision
- Ability to deal with patients with common mental health problems
- Ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients, patients and carers, High level of enthusiasm and motivation.
