Full Job Description

This role requires an individual to join the Intellectual Disability & Developmental Service (IDD) Single Point of Access (SPA) team working on a part time basis. We are seeking an individual with excellent organisational skills with the ability to work without direct supervision, prioritising all incoming referrals and acting on own initiative, where required; pre-empting issues and working to solve them in an appropriate manner. In addition, capability of providing a good typing, and customer service, applying effective written and verbal communication systems and also working as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

This role requires an individual with the skills, expertise, and sound knowledge in working with individuals with an Intellectual Disability. The individual will be able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously and be able to prioritise referrals screening according to their level of need.

You will be experienced with sourcing information from people with an IDD, carers and wider MDT via the telephone as well as identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns.

Maintain a professional attitude as a representative and first point of contact for referrers to IDD Community services.
