At its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, UK (with immediate central links to the M6), Indaver operates a solvent recycling facility; accepting hazardous and non-hazardous (waste) solvents. Under the brand name Indaver Solvents, Indaver offers high-end solvent recycling solutions and supports its customers with lab analyses, pilot scale trials and commercial scale recycling. Since 2022, when Indaver purchased this site, there's been a healthy amount of investment in the site to improve process and the environment where staff work. The QESH Advisor (Quality, Environment, Safety and Health) will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of Environment, Health and Safety systems, processes, procedures and associated requirements to operate and maintain the Middlewich facility in a safe, efficient and compliant manner in accordance with Group and Regional strategies and all applicable ISO standards, regulations and laws. The EHS Advisor will act as the key focal point for site related projects, HSE/EA improvement objectives and updating of related systemsRole & Responsibilities
- Provide technical and visual leadership in all safety related matters and areas of operation within the facility and interfaces with external clients and vendors.
- Identification, design, implementation and management of Process and Operational Safety systems to ensure that all works undertaken within the facility are executed in accordance with Indaver's Integrated Safe System of Work and the protection of people, plant and the environment are at the core of every activity.
- Act as the key interface for specific projects to the Group Quality, Health and Safety Manager.
- Care, Connect and Coach all members of staff, and anyone else providing services within the facility to ensure that all risks are identified, controlled and/or suitably mitigated to ensure that all work is executed in a safe and compliant manner within the facility.
- Monitor the introduction of Behavioural based Safety methods and Techniques. With the objective of assisting the development of a system that is fit for purpose and embedded into the Middlewich site.
Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, with a background in an engineering environment. - Experience in a Chemical Background would be advantage but not essential
- Proven EHS management experience within an engineering, chemical, manufacturing process.
- Proven track record of dealing with regulatory and certification authorities.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship assistance.
