If so, we'd love to hear from you., We are seeking a dedicated Pupil Support Worker / Teaching Assistant to join our specialist education team. You will play a vital role in supporting students-many with autism and complex needs-to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. What you'll be doing
- Support the class teacher/tutor in delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences for all students.
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to help students access the curriculum as independently as possible.
- Assist in creating a structured, stimulating classroom environment suited to students with autism and complex needs.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of individual plans, including IEPs, BSPs, risk assessments, and communication profiles.
- Prepare and produce learning materials and resources as directed by the class teacher/tutor.
- Support students during on-site and off-site activities, ensuring safety through effective planning and risk assessment.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multi-professional team, maintaining strong communication with education, care, and therapy staff.
- Promote students' physical, emotional, social, and moral development in line with organisational values. What you will bring
- GCSE's Grade 4/C or above required
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs.
- Able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Confident in managing challenging behaviour with a calm, consistent approach.
- Organised, proactive, and able to follow guidance while using initiative.
- Willing to learn, develop, and adapt to meet students' needs.
