Pupil Support Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Support - Abbeymead Primary School

We are looking to recruit a capable and committed teaching assistant to work with a pupil, partially based in the classroom and partially in The Hive. These posts are likely to suit somebody who has worked in the education sector with experience of working with High Needs pupils and who would like to work in a friendly, bright primary setting. The successful candidate will work with the EYFS team and The Hive team to ensure that the child's learning, emotional and physical needs are met.

Following our excellent Ofsted inspection report (November 2023) we are very keen to ensure that the school continues to go from strength to strength, and provide staff with the support and training opportunities to undertake their role and responsibilities is key.

The post would suit a candidate who is committed to providing the best learning opportunities and who is also keen to develop themselves professionally. You will have strong communication skills, as well as the capability of working with children with special educational needs. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with teachers, parents, the SENDCo and other outside agencies.

This role is offered on as a permanent contract, linked to ECHP funding. Part time hours as a job share will be considered.
