The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check, including barred list information, as this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Here at South Staffordshire College, we are looking for a fractional Lecturer in Uniformed Public Services and/or Criminology to join our team, teaching across a wide range of Level 2 & 3 NCFE programmes.

The courses are predominantly coursework based and therefore we seek an innovative practitioner to design engaging assignments that inspire our learners.

Following agreed schemes of work, assessment schedules and student monitoring procedures are an essential component of this work.

A key aim is to ensure that students meet and exceed their target grades.

We're looking for someone who holds a degree or relevant professional qualification and who has industry experience ideally within the Police, Fire, Prison, Armed Forces or Ambulance Services.

You will have excellent teaching skills and be able to support, motivate and empathise with young learners, including monitoring their progress.

With high personal standards and expectations, you'll have an awareness of academic quality standards and have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

A teaching qualification is not essential; however, we do ask that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
