Full Job Description

You will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing housing conditions across the county. Working collaboratively with key partners such as Rent Smart Wales, Fire and Police Authorities, you will help ensure safe, healthy living environments for residents. Your work will be varied and rewarding, and will include:

  • Conducting detailed property inspections using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)
  • Identifying hazards and taking appropriate enforcement action
  • Preparing and serving statutory notices and schedules of work
  • Contributing to the delivery of both Mandatory and Additional HMO licensing schemes
  • Working within other disciplines of environmental health i.e. housing enforcement, public health, food safety and health and safety, using enforcement action as necessary.
