As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools and Education Establishments, and other services. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identifiedneeds, including safeguarding and supporting children, young people and families.
We are looking for a part time enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19 to join our Purbeck Team based in Wareham. The core team hours are 09:00 - 17:00 with no weekend working.
As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0-19, working to the Healthy Child Programme you will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Children's Services, family Hubs, Schools and other Health Care providers, providing services in response to identified needs, including supporting the delivery of ParentLine.
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and packages of care to people on an allocated caseload; promoting independence and autonomy; working within a multi-disciplinary team.
You will have advanced own clinical knowledge, skill and competence based on current evidence through educational programmes.
You will evaluate care, taking appropriate action leading to improvement in quality standards through clinical audit, and contributing to root cause analysis and dealing with complaints.
You will provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
