Are you a qualified Nurse with recent experience within a comparable role?

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust highly values the contribution that the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19 makes to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families, using evidence-based, early intervention strategies

As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, you will participate in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Local Authority Children's Services, Early Years Providers, Schools and Education Establishments, and other services. You will be required to work closely with other members of the CYP Public Health Service 0 - 19, to provide services in response to identified needs, including safeguarding and supporting children, young people and families.

We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated Public Health Staff Nurse 0 - 19, to join our North Dorset team. We have a 22.5 hour p/w post in Shaftesbury/Gillingham and a 15 hour p/w post in Sherborne.

This is a year-round post of 30 hours per week. The core team hours are 09:00 - 17:00 with no weekend working., As a Public Health Staff Nurse 0-19, working to the Healthy Child Programme you will work in partnership with children, young people and families, the Local Authority, Early Intervention Services, Children's Services, family Hubs, Schools and other Health Care providers, providing services in response to identified needs, including supporting the delivery of ParentLine.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and packages of care to peopleon an allocated caseload; promoting independence and autonomy; working within amulti-disciplinary team.

You will have advanced clinical knowledge, skill and competence based on current evidence through educational programmes.

You will evaluate care, taking appropriate action leading to improvement in quality standards through clinical audit, and contributing to root cause analysis and dealing withcomplaints.

You will provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and junior staff in the team.
