Full Job Description
- Support the development, delivery and project management of public health programmes, with a view to improving health outcomes for the local community and addressing health inequalities.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across the council and other agencies, to support the development, implementation and coordination of public health programmes.
- Supporting commissioning and de-commissioning of services by contributing to health equity impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, business cases and service specifications to agreed deadlines.
- Support the development of evidence-based needs assessments, strategies and action plans to meet identified local health needs., We recognise that candidates may choose to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support the preparation of their job applications. - Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience in public health or related field
- An understanding of population health and its inter-relationship with other factors, as well as the political and organisation sensitivities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, with an ability to vary style to meet the needs of the audience
- Experience of working with stakeholders and project sponsor/s demonstrating the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence
