As a Public Health Graduate, you'll be right at the centre of meaningful, real-world projects. You'll have opportunities to:

We're offering four exciting 12-month graduate positions within our dynamic, multi-disciplinary Public Health division - the largest within any Local Authority in the country. About the Team Our Public Health Directorate is at the heart of improving life outcomes for Birmingham citizens. You'll gain hands-on experience across one or more of our six specialist sub-divisions:

  • Adults, Ageing Well & Workplace Health
  • Knowledge, Evidence & Governance
  • Health Protection & Place
  • Health Inequalities and Addictions: System leadership to embed health equity programmes, Addictions

  • You will be required to attend the office in Birmingham City Centre a minimum of 1 to 2 days a week.
  • An Assessment Centre will be held for shortlisted candidates on 25th of June 2026 in central Birmingham (you must be available to attend for the full day)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK is required for the 12 month contract; visa sponsorship is not available for this role
