Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic qualified CBT therapist to join our well-established Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in Eastleigh. The team is made up of CBT therapists, Senior Education Mental Health practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners. The role will involve delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Whilst the base is in Eastleigh, the community nature of the role may mean you are required to travel and support in other locations across the wider MHST area., You will work in education settings and in the community. You will undertake mental health assessments (including risk assessments) and will work within schools using evidenced based CBT interventions. This would be an ideal post for a qualified CBT therapist who is also looking to develop their supervisory and leadership skills in a health and educational context. There are also exciting progression opportunities within the trust., You will work directly with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, and in some cases their parents and carers. You will support MHST work to develop and deliver whole school approaches for emotional wellbeing and mental health.

Our mental health services include community-based support and early intervention in psychosis (EIP) for both adults and young people, alongside a network of specialist inpatient wards covering forensic, learning disability, eating disorder and older person's care.

We deliver extensive physical health services too, from urgent community response teams helping frail and older patients remain safely at home, to hospitals at home teams providing acute-level care in familiar surroundings. Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.
