Full Job Description

As a Propulsion Technician in our Typhoon Propulsion Support Facilities team, you'll help keep the RAF Typhoon platform mission-ready by ensuring EJ200 engines and accessories are expertly maintained and fully serviceable. Your work has purpose, creating impactful solutions that support national defence capability and help colleagues trust in the equipment they rely on every day.

Working at the forward-depth interface, you'll play a key role in maintaining critical aviation assets that contribute to a positive impact on communities and the future of UK defence. Through precision, care, and technical excellence, you'll support innovation and readiness while helping to protect the people and places that matter most.

What you'll do as a Propulsion Technician

- Safely move assets throughout the Typhoon Propulsion Support Facility, including operating forklifts and cranes.

- Unpack and repack engines and line replaceable items (LRIs) as required.

- Conduct visual and borescope inspections on engines and associated hardware.

- Perform EJ200 engine repairs and maintenance activities.

- Remove, install, and repair engine modules and accessories.

- Complete work orders and maintenance records using engine and aircraft electronic systems.

- Support continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance with Military Aviation Authority (MAA) regulations.

- Maintain competency across practical and data-based engine maintenance processes.

Experience of engine maintenance within an operational environment.

- Able to work effectively in a changing environment.

- Strong attention to detail with a proactive and positive approach.

- Good communication skills and confidence working from technical documentation.

- IT literate and comfortable learning new systems.
